Central California Photography Expedition September 2009

We decided to take a road trip down south, along the beautiful California coastline - Highway 1. We've talked about doing this for a long time but as usual, life took over and months, years passed by. Here we are, 9 years later and we haven't taken that drive down Hwy 1 to Central Coast! So that became our 2009 Labor Day weekend rendezvous.

I booked our hotel within the same week. We stayed at a B&B (Pelican Cove Inn) @ Cambria and the second night was at Parker Fess DoubleTree hotel in Santa Barbara. The B&B was slightly on the pricey side, the inn was rather old but granted, it was an oceanfront property and we were just a stone's throw away from the beach. You could even hear the soundwaves at night!
Overall, it was a fun, relaxing trip. I got to know my Canon digital SLR, took tons of pictures, experimented with aperture, shutter speeds, depth of field, composition......D was very encouraging and I had a blast.
